Mike woke up in the early evening. The sun had just set, and Ike, Elizabeth, and Keno came in from the deck where they had been watching it melt into the water.

“How about some dinner?” Mike called as he came out of the bedroom, rubbing his eyes.

“He must be feeling better,” replied Ike.

“I think my appetite is back even if my energy isn’t.”

“What would you like?”

“I don’t know; something local with cold beer and good food.”

“Several to choose from. I’ll lead the way.”

A half hour later, they were sitting in a little café off of Duval Street. While munching on appetizers, Mike asked the question. “Do you think you could show us some property on Big Pine tomorrow? When is your friend coming?”

“Certainly. Let’s get up early and get in front of the traffic, and maybe we can get back by midafternoon. “

“We can stop whenever to accomplish that.”

“Do you want a Realtor?”

“Not at this stage. Keno and I have talked about it, and we think we’d like to live here. We just need to find the right place.”

Elizabeth leaned in toward them. “That’s great. It’ll be nice to have you close.”

“What about your friend?”

“He won’t be here for another day, and I only need an hour of his time and then we can all do dinner with him.”
